If you've ever been frustrated by the time and effort it takes to adjust the height of your canvas or panel, or worse, had a painting fall to the floor as you struggled with poorly fitted pieces and knobs and cranks, you'll find a welcome solution here.
This H-frame easel was created after many years of experiences with an assortment of other easels of various designs and prices. Like you perhaps, I wished for an easel that would adjust the canvas quickly and easily to accomodate standing or sitting. Either position gets tiring after awhile. I wanted to buy one that would allow me to work on a vertical format canvas without climbing high or stooping low. And I was disappointed to discover that even easels that were supposed to be high quality (and high priced!) were difficult and time consuming to adjust.
Eventually I did discover an existing studio easel that adjusted very nicely, though it lacked a lot of other features that I thought were important, (like a paint tray and solvent cannisters, among others) and the least expensive model was $1,495.00.
